We start from the seafront of Brolo on State Road 113 at 8.30. After a few kilometers, we turn inland. We
will travel 10 km on a wide road with a slight false flat that will take us towards the village of Sinagra.
At around kilometer 13,20 the first timed trial begins!!. It is only 5 km. long with a 400 mt. elevation gain (average slope 8,0%): a short but challenging climb that does not offer any respite, with some double-digit gradient sections in the last kilometer.
After completing the first timed trial, we continue without stopping for just 2 km. to the village of CastellâUmberto, where a light refreshment and cyclist regrouping are planned.
We then head towards the village of Tortorici on a road with beautiful views of the Nebrodi Mountains, mostly descending with short sections of varying slope. This descent, almost 20 km. long, requires attention as it is very technical, but the asphalt is in excellent condition.
At around kilometer 39,00, we reach the start of the second timed trial!!: 7 km. with a 455 mt. elevation gain (average slope 6,5%) on a wide road with excellent asphalt. The slopes will be constant with some short ramps, while the last kilometer is very easy.
The finish will be located inside the village of San Salvatore di Fitalia, where we will have a refreshment stop and regroup.
The descent will follow the same road taken during the uphill timed trial, allowing us to enjoy the views of the sea and the Aeolian Islands at a slower pace. At the end of the descent, a long and fast false flat will allow us to spin our legs.
We will ride the last kilometers next to the sea before returning to Brolo for the stage where we will taste the famous “arancini di Brolo” with particular aromas offered by âCentral Barâ (famous bar in Brolo)
